Who am I?

I was reading a friends blog, when I started to wonder "Wow she is going thru the same thing, I just went thru last year" So I thought I would post some thoughts!! Sometimes (especially us moms) start thinking about our purpose and what our goal for life is. I love the Lord and tell him to guide me in the path he would want me to go. BUT.. I would still wonder.... "Is this God?" Last year at the womens retreat, God got a hold of me and simply whispered.."Be you, the one I created and love" he told me "Stop being who you think you should be.. trust me and I will lead you, stop making pitstops to put your thoughts and doubts in it..Trust me" I will never forget that night... it wasn't some big hoopla of a service or anybody running around the building (although I love all of that) We had to write down things that we haven't forgiven ourselves for and put them in this treasure chest and then it was thrown into the lake for no-one to ever see again!! I knew God had forgiven me for many many things, but yet I had never forgiven myself. When I finally let go after a big struggle with God... WOW What power he gave me!! They played a song at the retreat that summed up my whole weekend there. "I KNOW WHO I AM... I AM YOURS" (which is the first song on my music player) To sum it all up... He loves us and wants us to trust him and let him lead us and not worry what the day will bring. I have to admit it is still a struggle some days, but as soon as I play that song, his awesome spirit comes rushing in!!!! I have a poem I will post here as soon as I can that just came to mind!!!
